bathrooms

apparently we as in my husband and i, like to purchase homes with rotting bathroom floors. absolutely love it. house number two, bathroom remodel number two.

now, the last remodel from start to finish lasted approximately one year. i was pregnant with isaiah and had to pee in a bucket. nice. even after the bathroom was pretty much done, for some reason we failed to replace the door for quite sometime. (remember bible study with a sheet on the door - sorry ladies)

hopefully this remodel will not take as long. my dear, dear husband, (whom i love, cherish, and respect) has really learned a lot in the last few years and is much more competent when it comes to home projects. yet it has been two weeks since the beginning of this project and i have had a full shower with walls in my entry way to my front door for over a week. although i do have a new functioning toliet - bonus.

this weekend the new shower should be going in. needless to say, i am leaving for the weekend. taking all the children and will not be present for the demolishing, exposing the lovely mold and rot that we have discovered around the current shower. foul.

i cannot not wait for a new bathroom and really am thankful that however long it takes, i know jonny boy is saving us a ton of money by graciously taking on the enormous task despite his hectic schedule. aw... thanks jon.

moral of the story - home inspections work for you not against you.

Alana,
You are so stinking funny :-)
Sorry about your bathroom situation.
Hopefully you are able to move back in at the end of this weekend!
I promise I am going to call you about our exercise program or lack of. Kids go back to school Tuesday and then I am free to think about doing something!
Have a good one - hopefully you will return with a fully functioning shower and toilet :-)
Tami
